Workspace Services Manager Jewson Coventry This is an exciting career defining opportunity for a proactive, trusted and driven individual to join our business. Key responsibilities will be to deploy knowledge of buildings, HSE regulations and technology to ensure our workplace environments are safe, sustainable, legally compliant and enhance the wellbeing and productivity of our people. You will be working closely with the HR Team, EHS Department and reporting into the HR Director, working in a vibrant, fast paced environment where you can demonstrate your flair for Total Facility Management, Employer Engagement, Change Management and communicating internally and externally at a high standard as well as being a main player in our desire to provide world class facilities for all our employees. As a Workspace Services Manager you will be a tasked with implementing effective technology, tools and practices to make our buildings and remote work environments as agile and effective as possible, ensuring this is directly supported by the Workspace Services team through training and live support when needed. What will I be doing in the role? Ensure Workplace space, design and layout are aligned to the organisations' commitments to sustainable buildings, zero carbon, physical and mental health, allowing flexibility of space for most productive working, risk management and collaboration. Effectively manage the buildings budget, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in service provisions and/or operating processes that will generate savings/optimised spend/reduced overheads. Leads the management of change and project management associated with building adaptations such as relocations, closures, openings. Seeks out and welcomes feedback regarding the workspaces for both home and office based colleagues, translating feedback into projects for improvement Working collaboratively with HR, EHS or relevant stakeholders to seek out internal solutions or third parties when necessary to facilitate homeworking or to improve office based facilities. Ensures that properties are maintained in accordance with legislation, environment, health and safety requirements - including maintenance and monitoring of compliance records, first aid and fire marshal requirements. Management of 3 members of the Workspace Services team to ensure they are engaged and motivated to provide excellent customer service to all. Actively listening to colleague feedback and seeking out internal solutions or third parties when necessary to facilitate homeworking or to improve office based facilities. Management of Contractors and supplier contract reviews, maintenance and renewals for all external provisions such as catering, security and cleaning, ensuring commercial viability and excellent service is provided. Ensuring Stakeholders are consulted with, advised and supported through the changes and take ownership for ensuring that these changes are implemented on time and in full.Although we do require someone with exposure to working in a similar Facility Management role with experience covering both Hard and soft services in a role within a manufacturing / distribution environment, we are open to reviewing applications from Workspace Services Manager across different sectors as we feel a positive attitude and a commitment to your learning and development are most important.
