Location: Whitstable, Kent Job ref: 679 At Vetfinders we are helping a modern independent practice seek a new or recently graduated veterinary surgeon to join their family team in Kent. Come and join us in our lovely practice, a stone s throw from the seaside at Whitstable and the vibrant city of Canterbury. Role No OOH s. £37,500 upwards, DOE 4 Days pw 1 Early finish pw 1:4 Weekends with TOIL We are looking for a new or recent graduate vet to be part of our friendly, six vet team. We have mentored three new graduates through their early years in practice and are hugely proud of the vets they have become. With one now ready to fly the nest , we re looking for another new or recent graduate to help develop their skills and confidence. You will work alongside eight wonderful RVNs who have a wealth of experience to share, two kennel assistants and a great customer care team. If you would like to work in a great group of experienced vets including a surgical certificate holder and VetGDP adviser then this could be the perfect job for you. Our modern, purpose-built premises are bright and comfortable and we have the equipment and expertise to work up and treat a wide variety of surgical and medical cases. Our vets work a four-day week, with one early finish per week and one weekend in four with the Monday after off to recoup. Once you join the weekend rota, you ll be supported by one of the bosses at the weekend. We use an out of hours provider, so no night calls. Benefits CPD allowance of £1500 per year, We will support certificates if you want to pursue this. Five weeks holiday per year plus Bank Holidays Staff discount scheme. The Practice Whitstable Bay Vets is owned and run by family vet team. The Practice opened in August 2016 after years of dreaming and planning. It was important to us that the Practice was comfortable, bright and welcoming for our clients and for us we spend a lot of time there! It s in a lovely countryside location with lots of natural light and a garden for our patients, clients and team to enjoy. We also have all the equipment we need to provide a comprehensive service and allow our team to develop their skills and interests. For us, how we do things is just as important as what we do, so the practice has five core values: friendliness, integrity, sustainability, happiness and community. The last couple of years aside (COVID!), we love a practice Christmas Fair, litter pick or practice birthday party. As bosses we like working alongside our team and getting to know them. Being 'on the ground' means we can see when we need new equipment or if a change in working practices is called for. On the downside, you might have to listen to Adam's tunes on repeat in theatre!
