You will like The Senior Electricity Networks Consultant job opportunity to join our growing Business Investor Advisory (BIA) team in the UK (London/Manchester) as they continue strengthening the advisory team in the regulated utilities energy space. You will join as a senior consultant to support the leadership of the growing technical advisory and transaction services team specialising in electricity networks. The wider BIA division provides business and investor advisory services across a broad spectrum of energy infrastructure including offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydropower, regulated energy and water networks and conventional power. The team is consistently recognised as an award-winning technical advisor across energy infrastructure globally with particular expertise in regulated utilities, renewable energy and decarbonisation. Functional duties will include undertaking technical and regulatory advisory studies and technical Due Diligence in the electricity networks sector. You will deliver technical M&A and pre-lend due diligence studies for financial investors and/or banks, providing clients with details of how technical risks can impact their projects. Supporting senior team members, you will help to identify and pitch for projects and will execute consulting engagements, which include coordinating with cross-discipline teams to develop bespoke solutions for clients. You will also take responsibility for effective project management during project delivery phases and participate in mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting the development of other team members. Responsibilities will include working at the client interface to lead the delivery of complex assignments and working with others in the wider business to deliver high-quality, value-driven transaction advisory services in the electricity networks space. This will also involve contributing to team performance in the production of high-quality written reports and verbal presentations, supporting the management of client relationships, assisting in business development, and taking part in the full project lifecycle of a consultancy. Typical clients include financial investors, energy companies, governments, developers and financial institutions. You will have To be successful as Senior Electricity Networks Consultant, you will have a healthy mix of the following: Typically qualified by an engineering degree (or related subject). Qualifications in other disciplines (e.g. Finance/Economics) could be acceptable depending on infrastructure investment experience. Ideally will have achieved chartered status or an equivalent qualification with a recognised professional institution. Proven experience in delivering technical advisory projects involving electricity network assets and technology/innovation, regulated electricity network planning and operation Commercial experience and experience in energy regulation and policy is also highly desirable, particularly in the areas of net zero and energy transition Capable of leading complex technical advisory and technical due diligence assignments with support from senior leadership and managing the quality of work to ensure that products meet client expectations. Competent to take responsibility for the commercial management of assignments by agreeing on the scope/budget and managing these to ensure projects are delivered profitably and on time.
