They are growing and are looking for someone to join the team on a full time basis who can provide empowering and positive support to victims and survivors of domestic violence.Our client provides a range of domestic abuse support services to women and children. These include safe houses, children's services, dedicated Black and Ethnic Minority Services, resettlement and outreach services, and a crisis response service.Your new roleWithin this position you will be committed to providing support and advocacy to women and children experiencing domestic abuse.This will include ensuring that service users are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment to supporting them to stabilise, gain independence skills, sustain their tenancies, and access appropriate move-on accommodation.You will also carry out assessments which effectively establish the support needs of families and enable support to be offered as quickly as possible. A recovery and psychologically informed approach will need to be given, when supporting women to maximise their safety, independence and wellbeing.This is a temporary position until 2024 with the opportunity for a permanent contract. What you'll need to succeedYou will need an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people and knowledge of the safety options available to those experiencing domestic abuse.Be able to maintain a calm and measured approach and have experience in supported housing.A full driving licence and access to transport essential.
