Quality Technician Food Manufacturing Skelmersdale £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience) Monday Friday, Days, 6am-2pm & 2pm - 10pm I m currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Technician to join a large blue-chip business who specialise within the manufacturing of various food products. They are seeking an Quality Technician to support the current FMCG manufacturing operation in ensuring the safety of products is implemented and maintained across the factory. The Candidate; Experience within a Quality Technician role within a fresh produce / food production environment Similar experience within a QA or QT position Good working knowledge of quality systems Food manufacturing experience Experienced in the end-to-end supply chain from customer order to material plan Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Driven to succeed with a can-do attitude Passionate about the food industry The ability to communicate effectively Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Competent decision making Duties and Responsibilities; Undertaking internal audits focusing on GMP, ensuring suitable corrective actions are taken To ensure that the safety of products is implemented, monitored, and maintained throughout the factory To effectively work and communicate with the Technical Team and production operatives to continuously improve standards To undertake all checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as defined on the Quality Management System testing schedule in an accurate and timely manner Collecting samples of finished products for the daily taste panel Raising non-conformities, technical incidents and taking suitable and appropriate corrective actions Looking for areas where the QMS systems can be improved and made more efficient Implementation of food safety standards and procedures Being familiar with the Critical Control Points (CCPs) within the company and take appropriate corrective actions in the instance of critical limits not being met and maintain a good communication between production and technical team Aiding in investigations of customer complaints to achieve effective corrective actions Daily checks of products to ensure it meets all the standards and requirements at the daily taste panels Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity Maintain, test and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices Attempt repairs on broken or damaged products to determine the best way to scale those repairs Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards Environmental monitoring, reporting of micro results and corrective actions Report problems or concerns to senior management immediately If you have Quality Technician experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.
