We are looking to recruit a Production Coordinator to sit within the Production Team of the Operations Department. This recruitment is a new headcount due to expansion. The Production Coordinator reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for coordinating the activities within the Production Cell, the assembly of all products marketed by the company and in addition, the Production Coordinator has the team leader responsibilities for the Production Team. Responsible for Managing and leading a team which is a functional sub-set of a department. Communicating strategy and policy to their team. Developing appropriate plans and policies for their team. Managing projects within the team and in conjunction with other teams as appropriate. Ensuring a safe working environment and the team's compliance with relevant policies, legislation and best practices. Ensuring proper documentation, compliance with, and continuous improvement of the business processes to which the team contributes. In addition to the following generic responsibilities, each team leader is likely to have specialist responsibilities that are particular to their other roles. Create plans, organizes team. Ensures plans are achievable The Production team leader must be able to adapt to fast changing priorities and be able to work on multiple projects at any one time. Able to develop an understanding of a complex business situation or system and come up with options for countermeasures. Skills & Experience: GCSE, diploma or equivalent Experience of working in an electrical assembly environment, making/assembling electrical products. (Ideally small scale, low volume, fast paced high-tech environment). Computer literate; experience of using Microsoft Windows to input product data into the company computer systems (Microsoft Office Applications beneficial). MRP experience Ability to understand, follow and advise on company procedures, processes and consistent styles. Identify and develop improvements to existing and create new processes and procedures. Must have experience of managing a high performing team. Able to coach, delegate and lead by example. Able to take accountability for team's day to day and project performance. Experience of working as part of a leadership team is also essential, this successful candidate for this role will need to work with other team leaders in the business to drive the business plan. Fully proficient with the use of small hand-held tools for electrical product assembly, i.e., screw drivers, hex keys, small wrenches, snips, soldering iron etc. Able to assembly small mechanical enclosures containing framework and electrical PCBs (use of tools above) Please note: Only candidates with the relevant skills and experience will be contacted regarding this position.
