JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing day-to-day office and client service activities for defined business lines in the local office and/or multiple offices. Will partner closely with Digital & Technology, Facilities, Business Operations (P&L), Facilities, and Human Resources. In partnership with local senior management, will implement strategic vision through the operations team. Assures implementation of operational strategies and coordinates needs and collaboration to integrate company services for clients, both internally and externally. Will manage and accomplish work through supervisors and employees in local office and/or multiple offices. This position is on-site with flexible or hybrid work accommodations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With local management and market leader(s), act as a business partner for efficient and strategic operations of the local office and/or multiple offices through continuous review and improvement of processes; escalate to and work with leadership to resolve conflicting priorities, set achievable goals for direct reports that are linked to the strategic objectives of the organization and leadership; handle day-to-day issues as they arise.

Responsible for managing facilities project(s) to include ongoing maintenance work, transitions, renovations, client relocations, and new construction projects. Work with construction and project management team(s) and represent line of business for the duration of project timelines for execution and handoff. Assist with facility needs including maintenance and system or building access where needed. Act as liaison between offices and building management.

Responsible for the Real Estate and Business licensing processes to ensure full compliance with corporate, client, state, and local licensing requirements. Partners with local D&T resources and assesses technology and associated training needs in conjunction with Corporate D&T to ensure the technology needs of office are met.

Responsible for managing team and activities related to client service projects and operations, including office facilities/supplies/equipment, vendor relationship management and procurement processes, sustainability, special events, philanthropy, and business continuity plans for the local office and/or multiple offices. Partner with appropriate Shared Services teams to campaign and implement initiatives related to these areas. Partners with local Marketing Manager and regional/corporate marketing and communications team members as needed to ensure effective story telling in service delivery, business promotion, and public relations.

Responsible for managing operational activities for client services teams to include: motivating and directing personnel, setting performance standards and addressing deficiencies when identified. Partners with business operations, division finance, and corporate finance to support local and/or multiple offices in accounting and finance activities including payables, revenue transactions, forecasting and budgeting. May be responsible for local P&L oversight.

Responsible for managing a wide range of employment activities including recruitment, selection, onboarding/new hire orientation, training, performance management and terminations. Partners with Human Resources. Provides guidance and advice to supervisors within span of control regarding employee performance and development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with the company's values. Manage and accomplish work through supervisors and employees in local office and/or multiple offices. Recommend and execute on recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepare and deliver performance appraisal for staff. Mentor and coach team members to further develop competencies.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience including 4 years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience includes:
Building automation or system integration
Controls engineering
System network engineering
Data architecture
Construction or infrastructure engineering
Electrical engineering
Other engineering
Project management
Experience managing building automation operations in a customer-focused service firm with multi-location structure preferred.
Knowledge of real estate terminology preferred.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requires strong organizational and information management skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous project updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to effectively present data. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Require intermediate knowledge of financial/accounting terms and principles. Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, commissions, and similar quantitative assessments. May conduct basic financial analysis and accounting.

OTHER SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS, and/or ABILITIES

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate competency in systems engineering, controls engineering, electrical design, building automation systems and software, AI/ML analytics, and construction project management.

High level of collaboration and team leadership.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause negative impact to client service, partnerships, vendor relations, and/or internal teams.
