The Personal Lines Safeco Auto and Property Product Delivery teams are looking for a Manager of Product Analysis that will partner with stakeholders to manage and implement pricing programs for GRM US. This position offers the opportunity to be a key contributor to improving GRM profitability and help shape current and future pricing programs. Individually and through management of a team of 3-5 of analysts, you will be responsible for providing technical and analytical support for complex assigned states and projects. You will assist in strategic decision making on product scope and implementation and provide communication to impacted stakeholders.

In this role you will:
Leads the development of and implementation of the latest Safeco Pricing program updates
Manages a team of 3-5 analysts who are responsible for low to moderate complexity countrywide implementations
Where needed, will step in as an individual contributor to own a state's implementation
Conducts high complexity analysis under minimal direction.
Queries data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics and answer advanced business questions.
Independently leads workstream(s) with much cross-functional collaboration to ensure existing and future rollout tools, data and processes are best in class; while also managing direct reports who own workstream(s)
Drives analysis and provides recommendations on short to medium-term projects
Leads the development of analytic tools and queries (i.e. complex excel files, processes and process documentation).
Communicate updates cross-functionally and to Product leadership
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within an insurance organization
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience directly managing others beneficial, but not required
Experience indirectly managing others required
Deep knowledge of data sources, tools, and the business (auto line of business and systems used)
Highly developed quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS).
Strong Project Management skills (planning, timeline management, gaining buy-in, organization, contingency planning, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence
Knows policy contracts, forms, and product pricing as well as how state regulations impact the business
MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred but not required
Additional responsibilities may include:
Leads the development of analytic tools (i.e. databases, complex excel files, processes and process documentation).
Develops and leverages analytic tools needed to evaluate and adapt countrywide initiatives to meet local market needs.
Leads own workstream on all projects.
Summarizes findings and provides actionable recommendations.
Reviews reports and articles for assigned state(s), delivers summary of findings, highlighting the implications for the SBU and provides actionable recommendations.
May perform vendor management duties such as tracking vendor project progress and leveraging vendor data to perform state or countrywide analysis (i.e. comparative raters).
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
Minimum 4 years, typically 6 years or more relevant work experience.
Master's degree beneficial.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
Must have good planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
Experience directly managing others beneficial.
Deep knowledge of data sources, tools, and the business (auto and home line of business and systems used).
Deep knowledge of SAS/SQL, Excel, PowerBI/Tableau.
Knows policy contracts, forms, and product pricing as well as how state regulations impact the business.
