The aim of the team is to work with customers to use the investment we have to create the maximum social value we can to support environmental, economic and social wellbeing. We work very closely with third sector partners, local authorities and government to co-design initiatives, provide grants for projects and help shape policies to improve the lives of our customers. Your role at Orbit. In this new and exciting role of Impact and Partnership Manager you will need to understand the social and economic challenges facing our Customers so you can utilise impact and evaluation data to develop services, influence policy makers and generate new sources of income to extend the support we offer. Your key responsibilities will be to: Keep informed of key social and economic challenges and their impact on our vision Understand the political and legislative environment that housing associations operate within Monitor and impact reporting of the Thriving Communities Fund, strategy KPIs, social value and data requirements Oversee development and delivery of research methodologies to evaluate the impact of our Better Days programme Manage the Performance and Impact Team, ensuring that we have the evidence we need to pursue new opportunities including income generation and influencing social policy Ensure the team and contracted partners comply with GDPR and Data Protection Legislation Identify opportunities for partnership Promote our mission though speaking at events, networking and social media Ensure we have a credible voice on social and economic issues facing our customers Identify areas of social policy where we can influence change Engage with policy makers across Parliament, Government and stakeholder organisations to influence change Identify and scope funding opportunities, work with potential funding partners to design and agree project proposals and budgets Lead bid teams to submit funding applications Lead negotiations with partners to agree project scope and budgets What will help you make a difference. To be successful in this role of Impact and Partnership Manager you will need to have knowledge and understanding of relevant governments strategy, policies and trends and how this can impact our customers. You will need to be an energetic, entrepreneurial and outcome oriented individual who has experience of leading and motivating a team. It is also essential that you have: Ability to analyse, write concisely, clearly and with impact Experience of measuring project impact Knowledge of ways to measure social impact and value Knowledge of GDPR and data governance Ability to build effective external networks and partnerships Experience of fundraising and/or business development We know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people.
