Humanities Teacher Enfield, North London History, Geography and Short Course RE Cover at KS3 & KS4 October Start: 1 academic year contract (possible permanent job offer) Excellent rates of pay based on experienceWe are currently looking for a Humanities Teacher to work at a Pupil Referral Unit based in the borough of Enfield. This provision caters for pupils aged 11 - 16, and you will be responsible for teaching Humanities including History, Geography and Short Course Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 pupils. The role is starting after the October half term (or potentially sooner for the right candidate) and will continue until the end of the school year in July. There may the possibility of a permanent job offer after that for the right candidate. This is a dedicated team of educators with the aim of re-integrating all pupils back into mainstream education. You will be working with small class sizes and a team of experienced TAs to provide top-class education to students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. You will be given support from SLT as required to manage behaviour and adhere to individual plans. The pupils respond well to someone who can be dynamic, engaging and understanding. The ideal Humanities Teacher will have: Experience teaching Humanities at KS3 & 4 either in a PRU, SEMH or Mainstream Secondary School Excellent behaviour management skills and a can do, positive attitude QTS or a PGCE (also open to unqualified teachers with direct secondary teaching experience) A clear, enhanced DBS on the update service or valid within the past year Information for 2 education based references A track record of success teaching at Secondary level A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs If you are interested in this position, please do not hesitate to apply today!
