Position Scope:

Kearl is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. Our Kearl site is located in the Fort McMurray region, where we currently have many long-term contracts. Heavy Equipment Operators must have experience running Dozer or Excavator. Blended rates from $43.41/hour to $45.63/hour.

Daily Attraction Bonus: Kearl is offering a daily attraction bonus for days worked at $85/day

Kearl Advantage: Kearl is offering a travel allowance per rotation. Amount determined based on location. Travel allowances will be paid to/from location.

Kearl provides transportation to/from site from Fort McMurray in addition to camp and flights to and/from Edmonton or Calgary!

Successful applicants must join the OE955 union.

Qualifications:

Heavy Equipment Operator applicants must have:

Minimum 1-3 year experience in a mining environment accepting trucks on a mining dump setup or working around mining loading equipment or experience with reading grade stakes & reading GPS
Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation
Fluent in the language of English. Written and spoken
High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset
Summary:

All successful candidates must:

Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
Have experience as requested as mentioned above
Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
Breath Alcohol Test
Urine Drug Test
Fitness-to-Work Assessment
Audiometric Testing
Vision Screening
Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

CSO Certification
Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Copy of recent Driver's Abstract
VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Silica Awareness
Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
