GENERAL SUMMARY

Email Marketing Manager will support the National Kidney Foundation's email marketing and automation strategy to identify opportunities to advance communications to the kidney communities we serve. In addition to supporting the Director in overseeing the database email marketing and engagement of our constituents, identifying user journeys, and reporting against key performance indicators, this position will manage and develop all email marketing content strategy in Spanish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns, retention and loyalty strategies. They will collaborate with the digital team to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions that help increase revenue and NKF brand awareness. This role will also establish and facilitate best email marketing practice sharing across departments and offices at NKF in particular with diverse audiences, i.e. Hispanic.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports NKF's overall email marketing and automation strategy to enhance fundraising campaigns, improve constituent acquisition, increase email marketing engagement with our audiences, and bridge communications around local and national fundraising and marketing initiatives to build a stronger NKF brand.
In working with the Director, leads NKF's email marketing and automation strategy for Hispanic audiences.
Builds email marketing programs tailored to reach Hispanic audiences, automated workflows and landing pages (as needed) for various constituent segments and their individual email journeys; builds or translates re-useable assets, including but not limited to email templates, landing pages, forms, and resources for marketing.
Develops a deep understanding of Hispanic constituents and creates strategies that address their individual needs; manages and maintains marketing lists and constituent segments.
Aids in defining an email marketing database management strategy (Salesforce, Convio, Rallybound, etc.) to ensure data unification and seamless workflow with our email marketing platform .
Collaborates with the Manager of Content Strategy to ensure email marketing aligns with the larger organizational content marketing strategy.
Ensures consistency of branding, tone and voice in all of NKF's email communications (and Spanish language emails), for all NKF departments.
Creates and helps implement best email marketing and automation practices for internal stakeholders; provides guidance to local offices and other departments to effectively leverage Spanish language email as a communication channel.
Assists in building training resources for users across departments to be able to use platform effectively, correctly, and in-line with organization's overall marketing priorities.
Performs additional duties, as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 2-4 year of work-related experience managing email marketing and database automation in a fast-paced business or not-for-profit environment.
Bilingual Spanish, written and spoken
Expertise in email marketing strategies with Hispanic audiences
Ability to work independently, exceptional communication, interpersonal, team building, and support skills, demonstrate resourcefulness, motivation and initiative
Solid experience with managing ESP/CRM platforms; knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce is preferred.
Experience managing SMS/MMS channel communications preferred, but not necessary.
Knowledge of email specific html and CSS preferred, but not necessary.
Experience working in a health agency is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
Must be assertive, confident and project a positive presence.

WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION

Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintain effectiveness under pressure. Competency in use of a multiple-line telephone, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier and other standard office equipment. Ability to lift and transport event supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Available for overnight business travel. Must have a valid driver's license.
