We are looking for a licensed behavioral health professional with management experience to oversee our admissions department. This is an exciting new role with Community Health Alliance. We operate Sojourner and TLC agencies which provide outpatient and in-patient services to individuals in Southwest, OH.
The Director of Admissions is responsible for implementing, directing and overseeing the admission process for in-patient and out-patient services ensuring the highest level of customer service and efficiency in operations. The Director of Admissions will provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team and cultivate the function of the team as an integrated unit. They will actively engage with community stakeholders and referral sources to promote access to care.
Base salary starting at $60,000 or above depending on experience.

As the Director of Admissions your job duties and responsibilities will be:
Direct supervision of 7-10 direct staff
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the facilities operations of the admissions department and clinic in order to maintain and increase census and overall utilization of services in in-patient and out-patient programs.
Manages and monitors patient appointments and walk-ins to ensure patient needs are met timely.
Monitors data to assess and respond to patient wait times, patient admissions, intake outcomes, no show/cancellations, and failed activities.
Provide direct patient care per licensure and scope of practice standards.
Manages the availability of residential substance use treatment beds and ensures admissions to maintain 85% targeted census/utilization, monitors wait list for services.
Ensures all patients have completed financial paperwork and insurance payer s set up in the EMR.
Works with patients and staff in an ethical, culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
Our Director of Admissions needs the following experience and education:
Minimum requirement is LSW, LPC, or LCDCIII. Preferred candidate will have LISW, LPCC or LICDC.
Minimum requirement of 2 years of management experience and 5 years experience in healthcare industry.
Minimum requirement of a bachelor s degree in social work, healthcare administration, business administration, psychology, sociology, or other healthcare related field and two years work experience in a related healthcare field.
The required skills a Director of Admissions are:
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.
Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
Operate a personal computer and other office equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with medical providers, health insurance representatives and other healthcare professionals
Exceptional analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills to find creative solutions to solve various challenges.
Knowledge and understanding of alcohol and drug treatment and recovery, engagement of persons in treatment and recovery and an understanding of other healthcare systems, social service systems and the criminal justice system.
