Development Team Leader Hybrid (Essex) 60k-70k We are currently recruiting for a Development Team Leader for one of the UKs leading research institutions. This is a hybrid role and is 60% technical and 40% management, the successful Development Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of 3-5 developers and multiple projects while still being very hands on. The Development Team Leader will be working on unique and exciting projects, some which will require ongoing development. They must be an exceptional developer with a track record of leading and managing teams of developers with a strong experience in C# and SQL Microsoft backend server. The role is hybrid working 2 days a week from Essex, the Team Leader will be expected to be in the office on a Monday this is compulsory. Development Team Leader Responsibilities: Lead the teams priorities and goals so that they align with the strategic objectives of the department. Have a hands-on involvement with the team as a senior member of IT Management, including initiating, developing, collaborating, and contributing to the planned projects Ensure the skills and experience of the software developers are consistent with the technologies of the business Identify and pursue the opportunity for improvement Build working relationships with stakeholders across the business and ensure they are happy with the service being provided Take responsibility for management and development of the team Development Team Leader Essential experience: Experience in leading and having strong people management skills Deep understanding of software development techniques and practices Experience in developing implementing and evaluate software development plans Ability to perform analysis and provide specifications and ensure they and the team can work to them and any other specifications provided by third parties Demonstrable hands-on web development experience in technologies such as visual studio (C#) and SQL server using techniques such as MVC Systematic and disciplined approach to problem solving Ability to fully document all systems and processes To discuss this exciting opportunity in more detail, please APPLY NOW for a no obligation chat with your VIQU Consultant.
