BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £65,000 possible flexibility BENEFITS: OTE: £55,000 - £80,000, realistic and open ended. Company Car / Car Allowance - £600 a month. Contributory Pension. JOB SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager - Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Components, Wire, Cable, Fasteners, Consumables and Equipment Supply Chain Solutions to Construction and Rail Infrastructure Markets. Initially a new business focussed role, developing into a 60% new 40% existing split as business grows and accounts are passed over to develop. This is a senior Business Development Manager / Sales Manager role in which you will be responsible for a chunk of my clients' multimillion pound rail infrastructure and construction business in the UK. You will be looking to win business with main contractors, specialist rail infrastructure contractors, electrical subcontractors, M & E contractors, systems integrators and rail network operators and companies. You will be dealing at senior management level at customers including senior purchasing / procurement, logistics also projects / technical / engineering. Although my client can supply the widest possible range of components, consumables and equipment this role will tend to be more focussed on electrical and electronic, wire and cable for security, communications, lighting, wifi, signal boxes, CCN etc As such this will be quite a "supplier focussed" role as not only will you be working with customers on specification of what they need, but then liaising with and bringing in suppliers to help you present a full solution to the customer including wrap around services, customer owned inventory , stock holding etc. The company has an extensive database to work from, but you will also be using your own market knowledge and research and generating your own leads. Ideally you will be looking to provide a full supply chain solution for their component and consumable needs. My client has a network of branch locations reporting with whom you will work and liaise closely with. REQUIREMENTS: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager - Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Components, Wire, Cable, Fasteners, Consumables and Equipment Supply Chain Solutions to Construction and Rail Market. To be considered for this challenging, but potentially rewarding one in terms of earnings and career potential role you will have: Experience and success in a similar business development, market manager or senior sales role in the rail or construction markets, preferably this will be in rail infrastructure rather than OE, in electrical and / or electronic, industrial or technical components and equipment on a supply chain solutions basis. Experience and contacts with electrical and M & E contractors, rail operators, main contractors, specialist rail and electrical subcontractors, systems integrators dealing with senior procurement, finance, specification, design and project management / engineering decision makers. You will have the experience or capability to sell a big ticket Just in Time (JIT), managed inventory / material management Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solutions at a senior level. You will have the drive and ambition to drive your career forward.
