Business Analyst - SaaS

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst serves as the leader of the development team and a liaison between the software development team and the business team while documenting prioritized requirements based on the overall business objectives. Helps to define and support the future state of the company's software platform that best fits the specific industry needs, by utilizing existing and acquired industry knowledge and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the team reaches Sprint targets reliably
  • Represents the team in communication with internal stakeholders
  • Solves problems and removes obstacles for your team
  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies
  • Leads sprint planning in collaboration with your team
  • Reviews and collages sprint feedback
  • Administers the Scrum Board
  • Coaches and mentors the team
  • Creates and analyzes KPIs and facilitates corrective team action
  • Motivates and inspires the team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication and productivity
  • Helps to define success metrics for each new system or process and establishes a plan to track, monitor, document, and measure the success of those metrics
  • Completes assessments of business processes and documents each of the following areas: problem statements, process flows, gap analyses, and solution recommendations
  • Develop and present recommendations/status updates to key stakeholders
  • Codifies product requirements into user stories
  • Perform other duties as required

Educational and Other Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in technology or business-related discipline or 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of direct experience as a software development Scrum Master
  • Recognized certification in Agile methodologies, preferred
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on process improvement
  • Strong leadership by example and coaching abilities
  • Excellent communication, motivational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, high demanding work environment
  • Thrive under constantly changing conditions, offering new ideas and fresh approaches
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision, and operate in a complicated multi-tiered organization
  • Sensitive to confidential information
